The Blue Hostel Project is a commercial building that brings residential apartments and retail shops together in one block. Shops sit at street level for businesses, with apartments above for tenants. It's built to earn rent from both sides. HOW WE STARTED Work began with setting out and excavation. The Wenamy team dug and levelled the foundation trenches, then laid the underground plumbing and drainage lines before any concrete went in, so the pipes aren't an afterthought later. Steel starter bars for the columns were fixed and checked, and the ground slab was cast over the prepared base. FIVE DAYS IN Within five days of breaking ground, the foundation was complete and the building was already rising out of the ground. That pace comes from planning: materials arrive before they're needed, every crew knows its task for the day, and engineers check the work as it goes rather than at the end. HOW THE TEAM WORKS Every person on site wears high-visibility vests and helmets. Supervisors and engineers stay on site with the masons, steel fixers and plumbers, so decisions are made on the spot and quality is checked at each stage.
